What better way to get ready for a winter of snowy fun than to load up on new skiing and skating gear, while helping out a great cause. The Annual Ski and Skate Sale at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, N.H., gathers vendors from all around the state, plus consignments, to provide skis, skates, snowboards, and winter outdoor clothing at great prices. And the proceeds benefit the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center. The big sale is Saturday, November 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Have winter gear you don’t use or need anymore? Consignments are accepted between 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 10, only. The charge is $1 for up to four items, $2 for five to eight items, and so on, with 25% of the proceeds going to the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center. Only items in good condition will be accepted—clean, non-tattered clothing and up-to-date equipment, no antiques.

The participating vendors for this year’s sale include Piche’s, Rodger’s Ski Outlet, Nordic Skier, and Plymouth Ski and Sport. You can find downhill and Nordic skis; snowboards; snowshoes; ice skates; hockey skates; clothing for each of these activities and general winter clothes such as boots, hats, mittens, and coats; hockey pads and gear; ski poles; and more for all ages and sizes.
