The Children's Center is pleased to announce that Heather Corriveau has accepted the position of site counselor, replacing Pat Titus who will be retiring September 1st.
Heather has a M.S. in Psychology and an additional 22 graduate credits specializing in counseling children with severe emotional and behavioral issues. In addition to her own education, Heather has been teaching undergraduate students as an adjunct faculty member for over eight years about topics like child abuse and neglect, developmental disabilities, and counseling skills. Heather also comes to The Children’s Center with experience from Genesis Behavioral Health as a case manager, as well as teaching and coaching at both Alton Central School and Prospect Mountain High School.
We are excited to have Heather join our staff because she has just the right blend of counseling and social work experience with children, teaching expertise that will benefit our staff when it comes to in-service professional development, and a passion for the mission and beliefs we hold dear.
Heather resides in Alton with her husband and two teenage children. Her first day will be September 1 and she will resume a 30 hour per week schedule. Please join me in welcoming Heather to The Center and our team.
