School Age
Ages 6-12
Before & After School
Our School Age program is among the best in the region. The Center provides before and after school care and is in session throughout snow days, school holidays, early releases, and summer vacations. The large school age room is designed to offer activity choices for all interests. Based on development differences, kindergartners are separated from grades 1-6, and have their own Mis Amigos room to play, learn, and grow in.
Summer Activities
The summer program is active with regular beach, kayaking, biking and hiking trips.
Interaction
The Center’s goal has been to offer programming to children of this age that is far more attractive than being home alone. Many of the program’s participants attend until completing sixth grade.
Camp All Stars
Know a kid from ages 6 to 12 who would like to learn to kayak? Go on group biking and beach trips? Hike with 12 of his or her best friends? Participate in a team summer Olympics or “travel” to six different countries? Perhaps they would like to learn to make a volcano, de-shell a raw egg, or explore creatures in a wetland gardens habitat?
If so, check out the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center. Our school age summer program will host a season of themed curriculum, fabulous field trips, weekly beach days, numerous hikes and many kayak trips.
All our caregivers have an early childhood or elementary education background, and are required to complete 18 hours of staff development each year. They are certified in CPR, first aid and water safety. When hired, caregivers undergo background checks that include fingerprinting. And many of our staff have worked at the center for more than a decade.
In addition, we have a full kitchen at the center, and we serve breakfast, lunch and two healthy snacks daily, all at no additional cost. When the kids are on a field trip, we provide the food as well.
For Summer 2026, the program will again be offered Monday through Friday. MORE DETAILS COMING SOON!
