Our Philosophy

Our mission is to enhance the well-being of families and the community by meeting the developmental and educational needs of children through comprehensive, affordable, high quality child and family services and to cooperate with other agencies serving these needs.

The Children’s Center recognizes that all children are individuals with different needs, according to their previous experiences and personal rate of development. Our goals are to provide a safe, nurturing and supportive environment that encourages positive self-esteem, individuality, exploration, and self-expression; through interactive play.

The Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center, Inc. is recognized for program excellence under
New Hampshire’s Granite Steps for Quality. The GSQ system is a voluntary quality recognition system. With GSQ, programs focus on two quality standards which promote a culture of continuous quality improvement. This focus will helps improve the overall quality of Early Care and Education and Out-of-School Time programs in the state, thereby improving outcomes for children and families. The NH Department of Health and Human Services promotes the Licensed Plus Program.

Childcare programs recognized under Granite Steps for Quality must demonstrate levels of quality and expertise that exceed NH licensing requirements in the areas of Administration, Learning Environment, Parent/Family Involvement, Service to Children with Special Educational Needs, Professional Development, Staff Qualifications and Compensation and Program Evaluation.
